Grade 12 examination to be held from second week of September

by .KATHMANDU : The National Examinations Board (NEB) has started preparations to conduct the board examination of Grade 12 from the second week of September.
Durga Prasad Aryal, member secretary at NEB, said that the board has started preparation as the Ministry of Health and Population arranged to vaccinate students attending the examination on the basis of their admit cards.
“The board had demanded vaccination of students appearing on examination,” he said, “Accordingly, the ministry has arranged vaccines for 375,000 students. The new routine will be made public within a week. Three hour long examination will be conducted with the physical presence of students.”
According to him, the board has said that it will be easier to conduct the examination as all the work including designating the examination center, manpower management, preparation of question papers, transportation and orientation of the center head on examination operation and management has already been completed.
Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha said that the MoHP is preparing for the examination by arranging vaccinations for students. “Out of the 1.6 million doses of vaccines received from Japan, we are providing them to Grade 12 students on need basis,” said Minister Shrestha.
Meanwhile, the Information Officer at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Dhan Bahadur Shrestha said that the government has made arrangements to provide vaccines to all students aged 18 years and above at the request of the ministry. He said that all the students have been requested to get vaccinated from the vaccination center. Information Officer Shrestha said that the educational institution has also been requested to facilitate the students to get vaccinated.
