South Korean ambassador calls on Speaker Ghimire

by .KATHMANDU : Newly-appointed Ambassador of South Korea to Nepal, Park Tae-Young, paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire.
In the meeting held on Wednesday at the Speaker’s office at Singha Durbar, the relations between the two countries, exchange of parliamentary experience and economic development were discussed.
In the meeting, Speaker Ghimire stressed that the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Korea next year should be celebrated at the public level with special importance.
He expressed his belief that there will be an increase in tourism traffic in the coming days, while drawing attention of the Ambassador to start direct air service between the two countries.
Ambassador Tae-Young said his country is planning to hold a special program on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Korea. Informing that the Korea-Nepal friendship group has been formed in the Korean Parliament, the Ambassador expressed his belief that the Federal Parliament of Nepal will also form a friendship group soon.
