Govt declares public holiday for Bakra-Eid celebration on Thursday

KATHMANDU : The government has officially announced a public holiday on Thursday. This decision has been made to mark the celebration of Bakra-Eid, an important festival observed by Muslims worldwide.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has released a notice confirming the declaration of a public holiday on June 29 of this year to commemorate Bakra-Eid.

The notice, published in the national gazette, states that June 29 has been designated as a public holiday for the festival of Bakra-Eid (Eid-ul-Azha) celebrated by the Muslim community. This announcement serves to inform all concerned individuals about the public holiday.
