Updated English version  of the map of Nepal approved  

Kathmandu : The updated (political/administrative) English version of map of Nepal has been approved by the Ministry of Land Management, cooperatives and poverty Alleviation.

Minister for land management, cooperatives and poverty alleviation Padma Kumari Aryal on Friday approved the English version of the map of Nepal prepared by the department of survey. The map was prepared by the department of surveying and mapping and was submitted to the ministry for approval. The map was approved by the minister Aryal on friday.

Nepal had published an updated (political/administrative) map of Nepal in the Gazette last jestha, including the territories Limpiyadhura, Lipulek, Kalapani, which had been allotted for various reasons in the past. The English version of the same map  has been published by the survey department.

As soon as the updated map of Nepal is released, it is important to inform about the changed map of Nepal in the world. Therefore, the minister said, the English version of the map has been published for the purpose.

The purpose of publishing the English version of the map elaborating on the objective, minister Aryal said that the English version was needed to be sent to the United Nations, Diplomatic missions and the entire international community.

The English version of the map has been sent to the United Nations, various diplomatic missions and the international community. Director General of the Department of Survey, Prakash Joshi, has informed that it will be sent everywhere through the ministry of Foreign Affairs.
