Sahara Nepal deducts interest of Rs 3 crore 45 lakhs from the debtor member

by .Jhapa: Sahara Nepal saving and credit cooperatives society (saccos) managed to stay in the minds of their share members, business members,and the community as well Sahara Nepal savings and loan co-operative society jhapa interest of Rs 3 crore 45 lakhs has been deducted from its indebted members.
Due to the fear of Corona virus infection, the government has announced a lockdown from Chaitra 11, 2076 after realizing that the economic activities of the members have been reduced it has given 10 percent discount on the matured interest of the loan till mid Ashad 2077. Mahendra Kumar Giri , executive chief of the organisation, said in a press release issued today that no penalty or penalty has been levied or any of the savings and loans during the period and arrangements have been made to repay the loan installments voluntarily.
Sahara Nepal saccos, one of the largest cooperatives in the country in terms of financial transactions and number of members despite the four months lockdown the financial year 2076/77 ended with a positive result in the financial data.
During the lockdown Sahara Nepal has worked visibly under social responsibility. A one-on-one campaign was conducted under the leadership of the organisation to provide health awareness and daily necessities relief to the member and the community. Up to five thousand rupees to its needy members, agriculture package has provided for interest free disaster loan and self reliance.
The organisation has also made a name for itself by providing financial assistance to the local levels to run disaster relief funds in all the six districts under its jurisdiction.
