Former Prime Minister Bhattarai flying to India for treatment

KATHMANDU : Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the Federal Council of Janata Samajwadi Party Baburam Bhattarai is traveling to New Delhi, India for medical treatment. He is leaving for New Delhi today via a Nepal Airlines flight.

He had been undergoing tests and treatment at Nidan Hospital in Kathmandu for a long time after he was diagnosed with stomach problems. He is leaving for Delhi for treatment on the recommendation of doctors as they suspect a neuro-endocrine tumor. He will be treated at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in Delhi.

Dr Bhattarai will stay at the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi. He will be accompanied by former minister and leader Hisila Yami and central member of the Janata Samajwadi Party and his press advisor Biswadeep Pandey.
