KATHMANDU: The All Nepal National Free Students’ Union (ANNFSU), the student wing close to Oli-led faction of erstwhile Nepal Communist Party (NCP), on Monday organized a program at Maitighar Mandala in the capital to observe the International Women’s Day.

Dozens of students close to the faction attended the program. On the occasion, a student close to the faction performed a street drama seeking justice for rape victims.

Like other countries, Nepal is also observing International Women’s Day which falls on March 8 every year.

Various programs are being organized to mark the day which is symbolic of the historic journey women around the world have taken to better their lives. It comes as a reminder that while a lot has been achieved, the journey is long and a lot more needs to be done.
